Review Process
Phase 1:
All submissions will be reviewed by at least two judges who will be subject matter experts and will score the proposals based on the assessment criteria. The scores and comments on Phase 1 will be compiled, and a ranked summary provided to ´óÏóÊÓÆµstaff. ´óÏóÊÓÆµwill select Phase 1 winners based on quantitative and qualitative assessments.
Evaluation Criteria for Selecting Phase 1 Winning Submissions
Overall Approach (45 points) – Does the submission sufficiently respond to each of the four key areas? Does the submission provide sufficient detail within each key area to describe a future iteration of CDS Connect? Is the information organized and shared in a logical, thoughtful way that can be repurposed for public use?
Impact (35 points) – Does the submission’s design increase the impact of CDS Connect should the idea(s) be implemented?
Innovation (20 points) – Does the submission reflect innovative thinking on how to evolve and sustain CDS Connect through and ´óÏóÊÓÆµcollaboration with private industry?
Phase 2:
Participant(s) will be disqualified from Phase 2 if their presentation deviates from their winning Phase 1 submission or includes participants that were not originally included as part of the Phase 1 submission. Presentations will be given to the judges of Phase 1 and selected ´óÏóÊÓÆµstaff. Only judges will score and comment on Phase 2 presentations. All scores from Phase 2 will be compiled, and a ranked summary provided to ´óÏóÊÓÆµstaff.
Evaluation Criteria for Phase 2 Presentations
Content (35 points) – Does the presentation clearly describe the concepts and design proposed in Phase 1?
Responses to Phase 2 Questions (30 points) – Does the presentation sufficiently respond to the three additional questions asked in Phase 2?
Delivery (25 points) – Was the presentation conveyed in a clear, thoughtful, and engaging manner?
Time Management (10 points) – Was the presentation able to adhere to the time parameters?
