Section: Applying CUSP to MRSA and SSI Prevention
Establishing new interventions and changes in your surgical service or facility is just part of the challenge. In your planning, you should ask yourself: How do you keep your efforts and progress going?
Sustainability may not always be in the forefront of our minds, but it’s worth considering it from the beginning and at every step of the way. Planning and building for sustainability throughout makes your projects more robust and resilient.
An important aspect of sustainability is evaluation: How can you measure your progress? Being able to accurately assess your development and to recognize successes and shortfalls enables you to adjust and improve your efforts for the future. Sustainability is a cycle of continual evaluation, analysis, feedback, and improvement.
